Popular South African star Costa Titch is dead. He died on Saturday night. Costa Titch’s real name is Costa Tsobanoglou. His death is a surprise to many, as he seemed energetic during his show.
He performed at the Ultra Music Festival held in Johannesburg on Saturday. While thrilling his fans, the incident happened. In a video seen online, the Big Fkexa rapper fell down while thrilling his fans. Next, his bodyguard picked him up, and he continued his performance. Further, he slumped again and had to be carried off stage.
On Saturday night, South African media personality Phil Mphela confirmed the news. He announced the sad news on Twitter. Mphela wrote, “RIP: Costa Titch. Nelspruit-born artist and dancer, real name Costa Tsobanoglou, has passed away.” He was 27.
Costa was well known for hits such as “Big Flexa,” “Nkalakatha,” and “Activate.”
Furthermore, he recently signed a deal with Akon’s record label, Konvict Kulture. Costa Titch contributed greatly to the Amapiano genre of music.
Equally important, his death comes after his colleague, Kiernan Forbes, alias AKA, was shot dead in February. He will be greatly missed by his fans. Lastly, this is a huge loss for the South African music industry. May his soul rest in peace.
