Ex-Miss Croatia, Ivana Knoll drags FIFA for giving Lionel Messi the Golden Ball award. 

Lionel Messi’s win against France earned him the Golden Ball award, and while many celebrated with him all over the world, former Croatia’s beauty queen did not see the award given to Messi as deserving.

For her, Kylian Mapped deserved to win the award.

Ivana took to her Instagram story shortly after the Golden Ball award presentation to express her thought.

Ex-Miss Croatia wrote; FIFA world cup, you gave the Golden Ball to the wrong person! Maybe Argentina won, but Kylian Mbappe is the Golden Ball!

 

The Golden Ball award is a FIFA award given to the player of the tournament.

It was first introduced in 1982, the winner is chosen from a list drawn by the FIFA technical committee as voted by a media representatives.

Luka Modric won the previous Golden Ball award in 2018, and only one player has gotten the award twice- Lionel Messi in 2014 and 2022.

However, the Superstar French player- Kylian Mbappe did not leave the tournament without recognition as he took home the Golden Boot for the tournament which is an award given to the top goal scorer in a tournament.

Ivana Knoll gained more popularity!

Also, Croatia’s former beauty queen had her share from the just concluded tournament after she gained millions of followers on Instagram to herself.

Being in Qatar for the world cup sky-rocketed her fame. The stunning Ivana now has over 3.2 million followers on Instagram.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Ivana Knoll revealed that the number of people who like her around the world is almost the same as the population of her country.

She also disclosed that she came to the world cup with 570,000 followers but now has 3.2 million followers.
