Dangerous winter storm sweeps across US and Canada causing power outage. 

The winter storm leaves more than one million people without power.

More people in Canada and the US are under winter storm that stretces from East to coast and as far South as the US-Mexico border.

The storm also affected the major airports as thousands of flights have been cancelled as the storm case gets worse.

More than 5,900 flights in the US have already been cancelled on Thursday and Friday- as reported by The flight track Flight-ware.

Also, more than 1,130,000 people from Texas-Maxine were left in the dark as the intense wind damaged power lines across eastern US.

Aside from Texas-Maxine, power outages have also been reported on Canada, affecting 260,000 people in the province of Quebec City and Ontario.

Some school boards in Ontario have also cancelled classes.

This winter storm sets record to be the icest Christmas in decades, affecting even the sunshine state in Florida.

According to forecasters, temperature of -50F(-45C) and -70F are to be possible by the end of the week in some parts of the country.

Forecasters also warned that in major areas of the city of Des Moines, Iowa, frostbites may occur.

  Frostbite is a skin injury caused by the freezing of the skin and underlying tissues. Symptos include: cold skin, numbness, inflamed or discolored skin.

They also reported that the winter storm could become a bomb cyclone on Friday.

This bomb cyclone occurs at a time of the year when there is some possibility of having both warm and cold air at the same time. The difference in the pressure fuels the drop in pressure.

 

Aside from cancelled flights and power outage, number of recent deaths are also attributed to the winter storm.

In areas like Forth Worth, Kansas City and Nebraska, causes of death occured from lost of vehicle control while driving and fatal crash.
