The Ogun State Police Command has arrested the controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, commonly called Portable. This arrest comes after the expiration of a 72-hour ultimatum given to the singer. Nevertheless, the singer refused to honour the invitation.

Earlier, the Ogun State Police Command issued an ultimatum for the singer to report himself or be arrested by Friday. Also, the state’s police public relations officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed this development in a statement.

Portable was aware of the consequences of not submitting himself to the police. Meanwhile, Portable’s father had pleaded on his behalf and promised to bring him to the station.

He is being arrested because the artiste cursed some officers of the force in Ogun State. The evidence is in video clips that went viral on Tuesday. However, in the clip, Portable claimed that an internet fraudster had brought the police to his bar. They wanted to arrest him and his staff members “for no reason.”

Accordingly, the police have sent invitations summoning him to the station five times. Also, another was sent through his father, but he didn’t honour it.
