El-Zakzaky, Shiites leader denies backing Peter Obi as claimed by the Media space.
The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky has debunked reports of him endorsing the Labor Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Earlier on, a report in the media space had claimed that the Shiites leader, El-Zakzaky urged members of his movement to get their Personal voters card and vote for Peter Obi’s next election, in February.
The news is coming after a viral report speculated that the Muslim cleric had endorsed Obi following the endorsement of the Labor Party presidential candidate by former president Olusegun Obasanjo and Edwin Clark, a Niger Delta leader.
However, the Muslim leader debunked the viral reports of him endorsing Obi or any other candidate contesting the 2023 presidential election, and also described the reports as a falsehood that should be ignored.
The post which allegedly urged eight million Shiite Muslims to get their voter card to vote for Peter Obi at the February poll was vehemently debunked.

Furthermore, the Muslim leader had legal backing concerning the issue. One of the cleric’s lawyers, Marshall Abubakar of the Falana & Falana Chambers, in a statement noted that the purported endorsement of Obi was fake.
Marshall Abubakar also confirmed that “some presidential candidates” had actually approached the cleric for endorsement, but he refused to endorse them.
Maybe, the leader just urged members of his movement to get their PVC and vote and not to vote for any particular Candidate.
