Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Benue State chapter reported that members of their Commission arrested PDP campaign Director General, Cletus Tyokyar early this morning.
He was found with wads of cash in the early hours of the morning.
Mr. Cletus Tyokyar who is the Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party Camping Council was said to be found with cash up to a hundred thousand naira.
However, the state governor, Governor Samuel Ortom, has come out to speak about the recent occurrence in his state and that of his fellow party member.

According to the Governor who cast his vote at his polling unit R16 within the premises of Government Science and Technical College, Gbanjimba, headquarters of the Guma local government area confirmed that Mr. Cletus was arrested in his local government area, and the money found in him was just a paltry sum of a hundred thousand nairas.
He also added that the EFCC in one way or another other is destabilizing the election, due to the arrest of Mr. Cletus Tyokyar.
Furthermore, Governor Ortom went ahead to add that, it’s a shame to the anti-graft agency and also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for the conduct of a smooth running and peaceful election.
He also thanked the people of his state for the massive turnout since the whole council ward had to be transferred to polling units in the area as a result of insecurity in other areas of the state.

In addition, no fewer than 17 polling units were within the premises of the college, and they still came out to vote to neglect the inconvenience of the new arrangement.
Also, the report of the spokesman of the anti-graft agency, in the person of Mr. Bayo Adeniran said that the case was under investigation and no conclusion should be drawn from it.
