The Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has won at the polling unit of former governor Rashidi Ladoja. Seyi Makinde of the People’s Democratic Party is contesting for a second term in Oyo State.
Earlier, there was a rumour that Ladoja was not in support of Makinde’s ambitions for a second term. Afterward, the rumor was publicly debunked by the ex-governor.
The PDP polled 98 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Teslim Folarin, who scored 35 votes at unit 17, ward 10 in the Ibadan North Local Government Area of the state.
In addition, the election went well in all areas of the state, and counting began in the various polling units. There have been no reports of violence in the state.
