The All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate and former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu reacted to Obasanjo’s endorsement by saying that the blind cannot lead the blind.
Olusegun Obasanjo, a former President of Nigeria had earlier endorsed Labor Party presidential candidate- Peter Obi as his preferred Presidential Candidate.
However, his choice of Presidential Candidate has raised brows as opposition parties were not satisfied with him (Obasanjo) choosing Peter Obi.
APC Presidential Candidate on Thursday used the idiom ‘the blind cannot lead the blind’ in reaction to Obasanjo’s endorsement.
Furthermore, Tinubu said that the former President, Obasanjo is jealous of his achievements.
Tinubu made this known during a rally at the University of Benin sports complex, Edo State.
He also added that Obasanjo’s endorsement of of Peter Obi would not work or make any difference in the outcome of the election by February.

In addition, he accused Obasanjo and his then Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, who is now the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), of corruption.
Alleging that both Obasanjo and Atiku confiscated the Federal Government’s allocation to Lagos and used “Nigeria’s funds” to buy cars for their girlfriends through shady privatisation scheme.
“A blind leading the blind. I am sorry I am not insulting visually impaired people. But it won’t work, they will end up in the ditch. If I talk about Obasanjo and Obi – one who doesn’t know the way cannot show the way,” Tinubu added.
Additionally, he asked thousands of APC supporters if a may like Obasanjo can recommend a leader for them in Nigeria?
“Is that not sending an agent to pick your pocket?” He asked.
