Whoever hopes to serve Nigeria must be prepared for the worst- President Buhari

President Buhari while speaking at a State Banquet in Yobe, Adamawa State warned that whoever hopes to serve Nigeria must be prepared for the worst.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adeshina restated Buhari’s vow to serve God and Nigeria until his last day in office and beyond.

Buhari also advised Nigerians to remain patriotic, recalling what he has said more than 30 years ago that we have no other country than Nigeria, and we must all stay here and salvage it together.

In addition, he noted that the most critical security challenge inherited by the administration nearly eight years ago was the potent and pervasive threat of terrorism.

However, the President expressed delight that the affected states in Northeast Nigeria have returned to Normalcy.

The president also recounted the insecurity threat that was pervasive across the Northeast geopolitical zone especially with Adamawa State as one of the most affected states by the terrorists.

With this, Buhari declared that he had fulfilled his commitment made to Nigerians in his May 29 2015 inaugural address to tackle Boko Haram and stabilize the country.

In reflecting on his journey to the Presidency and re-election, Buhari noted that between 2003 and 2019, he visited all the local government areas in the country.

And in 2019 when he attempted re-election, he visited every state, and the number of people that came out to see him was more than what anybody can pay or force.

In conclusion, President Buhari commended Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State for taking advantage of the return of peace and security in the State to execute people-oriented projects like the Cargo airport he went to commission.
