Gunmen attack The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives Candidate for Lagos Mainland Constituency, Segun Gbayi
Segun Gbayi, PDP Candidate for House of Representatives, Lagos Mainland Constituency was allegedly attacked on his convoy.
The attack led to the injury of no fewer than two people who were part of his convoy.
At the time of reporting, the identity of the perpetrators is said to have remained hidden as they were only identified as gunmen.
Furthermore, the incident happened in the Makoko area of Yaba, Lagos State where the gunmen attacked the security escorts attached to the convoy, opened fire, and vandalized the vehicles.
However, report has it that Segun Gbayi escaped the attack unhurt.
While speaking on the attack, Segun Gbayi said the attack was intended to prevent the party member from exercising their Franchise in tomorrow’s election.
Meanwhile, he still urged voters and the general public to remain safe during this period and report any case of threat to lives, vandalization, or violent attacks to security officers.

Segun Gbayi’s attack is coming after a Labor Party Senatorial Candidate was attacked and shot dead on Thursday, 23 February 2023.
The Labor Party Senatorial Candidate of Enugu East, Oyibo Chukwu died as a result of the attack on his vehicle, and the attack also claimed the lives of not less than Five people as reported by eyewitnesses.
