Labour Party yet to secure a state as APC, PDP lead

So far, Labor Party is yet to secure state Governorship seats as opposed to expectations that the party will win in the sideline, especially in the Southeast region.

In the results published and announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, APC, and PDP have dominated the wins by holding into 15 and 8 states while NNPP has won in Kano State.

As of today (Tuesday), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared official results in 24 out of the 28 states where governorship elections were held.

Nevertheless, Obidients in Abia, Enugu, Adamawa, and Kebbi are still in high hopes. These are states where the collation of results was suspended.

 

Labor Party battle for Abia and Enugu

Abia and Enugu states have been witnessing delays to dispute between the Labor Party and the PDP over results from some local government areas.

However, the electoral process in these states is pending as the Commission suspends further collation of the governorship election results and the grounds for reviewing this process of balloting in some parts of the two states

States won by APC, PDP, NNPP

Results declared by INEC so far, indicated that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC won the governorship polls in 15 states including Sokoto, Katsina, Jigawa, Gombe, Lagos, Kwara, Niger, Yobe, Nasarawa, C’River, Ebonyi, Ogun, Benue, Kaduna, and Borno.

While The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured eight States so far, which include: Plateau, Zamfara, Bauchi, Taraba, Oyo, Delta, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom states, while the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP won in Kano.

But, surprisingly, Labour Party has yet to secure one state across the 28 states where INEC conducted governorship elections.
