Frank Lampard has been backed as Everton’s boss after poss at West Ham. The former Chelsea Boss has ceased to reign as Everton Manager.

He was told that his 357-day spell in charge had come to an end during a phone call with Everton’s major shareholder, Farhad Moshiri

Though Lampard was aware that the club may soon go in for a managerial change, he was left uncertain about what direction the club was going to take as some conversations he had with Moshiri were centered on recruitment.

The 44-year-old star player had about 18 months left on the contract he signed on 31 January 2022.

Furthermore, news has it that his backroom staff of Joe Edwards, Chris Jones, Paul Clement, and Ashley Cole will also leave the club though it hasn’t been confirmed.

So far, Everton’s problems on the field are best encapsulated by the fact they have only scored two goals or more in two of their 20 Premier League games and the lack of firepower has led to a draining of confidence.

While in Everton, Lampard has also had to deal with disciplinary issues within his squad.

It was last week that he was forced to send Abdoulaye Doucoure to train on his own following an exchange after the 2-1 defeat to Southampton on January 14.

In addition, Lampard had joined an ever-growing list of Managers who have the responsibility of taking Everton forward under the watch of Farhad Moshiri but has now been cast aside.

And the constant change of managers will still cause havoc along the way.

Everton’s previous managers

So far, the club has had 26 permanent managers.
Rafa Benitez and Ronald Koeman were Everton’s managers before Frank Lampard.
