Haaland set to get £500K per week deal from Man City
Erling Haaland is set to get a £500,000 weekly deal with English Premiere League giants, Manchester City.
The new deal would make Haaland become the best-paid player in the Premier League.
Currently, Haaland earns £375,000 per week, putting him equally at the top of the Premier League’s best-paid stars, along with teammate Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
The 22-year-old performance has seen him linked with Real Madrid, who are believed to be keen on landing him in the summer of 2024.
The player’s current deal lasts till 2027.
However, at the end of the season, Man City would be negotiating a new deal with Haaland to extend that by a year as part of the proposals to maintain Haaland’s services despite Real Madrid’s interest in him.
Erling Haaland joined Man City from Borussia Dortmund in July 2022, after penning a five-year deal that keeps him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2027.
He is a son of the former City player Alfie, Haaland junior, and is widely regarded as one of Europe’s best strikers and will arrive at the Club with a formidable goalscoring reputation following impressive spells at Molde FK, Red Bull Salzburg, and Dortmund.
Also, he is an established Norwegian international, he scored 86 goals in 89 games in two-and-a-half seasons with the Black and Yellows, winning the German Cup and the Bundesliga Player of the Season award in 2020/21.
