Imo Labour Party gov aspirant is dead

A Labour Party governorship aspirant, Humphrey Anumudu, is dead. The Imo state governorship aspirant was to participate in the forthcoming primaries. He was found dead in his house.

 

Earlier, he returned from a meeting at the LP secretariat in Abuja. Further, he reportedly died at his Lagos home. Anumudu hailed from the Mbieri Ancient Kingdom in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.

 

Furthermore, the auto merchant died on Friday evening in Lagos. His death came as a shock. Until his death, Anumudu was a multi-millionaire and a politician. Also, he has been contesting for the governorship in Imo State since 1998.

Additionally, he was said to be the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party governorship primary in 1998. But the ticket was conceded to Achike Udenwa, who ruled Imo State from 1999 to 2007. Since then, he has been contesting for the governorship seat. In 2019, he was the Zenith Labour Party governorship candidate.

Also, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Globe Motors. May his soul rest in peace.
