Sanwo-Olu orders payment to driver assaulted

 

 

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the compensation of N5 million to an Uber driver. Adedotun Clement, an Uber driver, was assaulted on October 20, 2021. This was on the occasion of the rally to mark the one-year anniversary of the #EndSARS protest. This happened in Lagos State.

The governor on Saturday said he had ordered the Honourable Attorney General to set up a meeting. Further, at the meeting, the compensation awarded to him by the court will be paid.

Also, the Ministry of Justice in the state argued that the state government was right to appeal the government. Therefore, the driver will receive N5 million in compensation from the government.
